Abstract:

Accountable decision-makers are required to legitimize their priority setting decisions in health to members of society. In this perspective we stress the point that fair, legitimate processes should reflect efforts of authorities to treat all STAKEHOLDERs as moral equals in terms of providing all people with well-justified, reasonable reasons to endorse the decisions. We argue there is a special moral concern for being accountable to those who are potentially adversely affected by decisions. Health authorities need to operationalize this requirement into real world action. In this perspective, we operationalize five key steps in doing so, in terms of (i) proactively identifying potentially adversely affected STAKEHOLDERs; (ii) comprehensively including them in the decision-making process; (iii) ensuring meaningful PARTICIPATION; (iv) communication of recommendations or decisions; and (v) the organization of evaluation and appeal mechanisms. Health authorities are advised to use a checklist in the form of 29 reflective questions, aligned with these five key steps, to assist them in the practical organization of legitimate priority setting in healthcare.

Abstract:

Knowledge translation (KT) is defined as an intermediary process between researchers and STAKEHOLDERs. Knowledge translation means the exchange, synthesis and application of research findings through a complex system of communication between researchers and users of knowledge. The ultimate goal of KT is to change the behavior. In this process, the most important findings and research results are expressed in a simple and understandable language for the general public.

Abstract:

INTEGRATED WATER RESOURCES MANAGEMENT (IWRM) PARADIGM WAS INTRODUCED SOME 36 YEARS AGO AFTER THE CREATION OF THE INTERNATIONAL WATER MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION (IWRA), BRAGA 2001. IWRM COMPRISES OF 4 MAIN AREAS: LAND USE, RIVER BASIN, URBAN AND COASTAL ZONES.IN A RECENT PARADIGM SHIFT RELATED TO INTEGRATED WATER RESOURCES MANAGEMENT (IWRM) IN THE CONTEXT OF HOLISTIC AND INTEGRATED APPROACH, ATTENTION IS BEING DRAWN TO CONSIDER INSTITUTIONAL AND LEGAL FRAMEWORK AND STAKEHOLDER PARTICIPATION WITHIN THE GENERAL FRAMEWORK. A REPORT BY THE 4TH WORLD WATER FORUM, (WWF, 2006), ENTITLED: IMPLEMENTING INTEGRATED WATER RESOURCES MANAGEMENT: THE INCLUSION OF IWRM IN NATIONAL PLANS, REVIEWS THE PROGRESS LEVEL MADE BY COUNTRIES IN SOME 6 REGIONAL CATEGORIES. ACCORDING TO 2 DIFFERENT STATISTICAL SURVEYS BY JAPAN WATER FORUM (JWF) AND GWP UP TO 28% HAVE MADE GOOD PROGRESS BUT SOME 28% ARE IN THEIR INITIAL STAGES OF INTEGRATED WATER RESOURCES MANAGEMENT. IRAN IS WORKING TOWARDS ACHIEVING THE MILLENNIUM DEVELOPMENT GOALS (MDGS) WHICH WAS SET IN 1992 IN JOHANNESBURG. THE STRATEGIC LONG TERM PLAN WAS RATIFIED BY THE COUNCIL OF MINISTERS IN 2004, A YEAR AHEAD OF THE 2005 DEADLINE (IWRMC, 2004).SO THE QUESTION IS HOW TO IMPLEMENT THE INTEGRATED CONCEPT. THEREFORE, SOME KEY RECOMMENDATIONS WERE MADE BY WWF FOR FUTURE WORK ON IWRM. THESE ARE CENTERED ON 5 THEMES: INSTITUTIONAL & LEGAL FRAMEWORK, STAKEHOLDER PARTICIPATION, SOCIOECONOMIC, CAPACITY BUILDING AND ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY.THE NEGLECT OF THE INSTITUTIONAL DIMENSION IN WATER MANAGEMENT HAS CREATED A HUGE DRAWBACK IN IMPLEMENTING IWRM. SALETH & DINAR (2004) ARGUE THAT AS WATER SCARCITY IS EXPERIENCED IN MANY PARTS OF THE WORLD [INCLUDING IRAN]; WATER SECTOR INSTITUTIONS NEED TO BE REORIENTED TO CATER FOR THE NEEDS OF CHANGING SUPPLY-DEMAND AND QUANTITY-QUALITY RELATIONSHIPS IN THE EMERGING REALITIES.THIS PAPER REVIEWS THE IMPORTANCE OF INSTITUTIONAL ANALYSIS AND IN PARTICULAR THE ROLE OF STAKEHOLDER PARTICIPATION IN THE MANAGEMENT OF WATER RESOURCES WITH REFERENCE TO COASTAL ZONES MANAGEMENT IN GENERAL AND IRAN IN PARTICULAR.

Abstract:

Summary: In this work, a concise and comprehensive summary of the English extended abstract is presented. It concisely describes the content, subject, objectives, scientific logic or method(s), and the most important findings and conclusions of the research work. Introduction: The growth of sports PARTICIPATION institutions such as athletes, spectators, volunteers, coaches, media, and companies has led to the growth of sports as a new industry. Therefore, one of the basic prerequisites for the development of sports is the growth of the PARTICIPATION of different STAKEHOLDERs, and in fact, the type of PARTICIPATION of STAKEHOLDERs in the sports industry determines the extent of its development. In this regard, a research review showed that a comprehensive understanding of the factors that determine it, especially the emerging factors, had not yet been provided. The purpose of this work was to design and explain a framework for the conceptual analysis of STAKEHOLDER PARTICIPATION in the sports industry in Iran. Methodology and Approach: The research methodology was a systematic qualitative one. The sources of data collection consisted of two sections: information resources (scientific resources) and human resources (experts) related to the research subject. The studied sources in both sections were estimated sufficiently based on the theoretical saturation and sampled purposefully (24 subjects and 108 copies). The research tool was a transcript of a library study and an exploratory interviewed framework. The validity of the tool was first controlled on the basis of the scientific and legal validity of the individuals and documents, and then from the viewpoint of the experts used to examine the content and formality of the content. In addition, the coefficient of agreement between the scribes was calculated. In order to analyze the findings, the conceptual coding-based framework analysis and design methods were used. Results and Conclusions: 187 identified components were categorized into 5 levels, 9 landscapes, and 31 dimensions that included the level of environment and ecosystem (national and international environment), level of role and actors (elements and guidance), level of support and structure (processes and resources), level of engagement and PARTICIPATION (levels of sport and industry sectors), and level of outcomes and development (functions and sustainability). The general relationships between the variables in the model were plotted. Based on the framework, it can be said that development of the sports industry follows the principles of system management, and its key and strategic factors determine the strategic direction of development in the model so that the managers must base it on the planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Abstract:

The main purpose of the research was to design a model for STAKEHOLDER PARTICIPATION in the selection of school administrators in education. This qualitative research was conducted using the GT. Participants in this research are among the directors, specialists and academic elites of the university and Also, the experts of Khorasan education were selected; The data were collected using theoretical sampling method and performed 19 structured interviews, face-to-face and deep interviews. the categories derived from the open coding process are presented and then the components of the axial coding process include the causal conditions, the underlying phenomena, strategies, context, intervention conditions, and outcomes, depending on the categories under the set itself and ultimately link to the selective coding and the evolution of the story of the promotion and appointment of managers in education was drawn. The researcher chose a core topic as "STAKEHOLDER PARTICIPATION in the choice of manager" and put it at the center of the process of selecting and appointing education directors it then linked other categories, including causal conditions, strategies, underlying conditions, and interventions, and outcomes. The results of the research showed that the main phenomenon of the study process, "STAKEHOLDER PARTICIPATION in the choice of manager", consists of two main concepts, one of which is "the choice of the manager rather than the appointment" and "STAKEHOLDER PARTICIPATION in the process of selecting the manager". Most contributors consider this to be the beginning of a change in education.

Abstract:

Countries around the world are experiencing an ever-increasing need to make choices in investments in health and healthcare. This makes it incumbent upon them to have formal processes in place to optimize the legitimacy of eventual decisions. There is now growing experience among countries of the implementation of STAKEHOLDER PARTICIPATION, and a developing convergence of methods to support decision-makers within health authorities in making tough decisions when faced with the stark reality of limited resources. We call for further interaction among health authorities, and the research community to develop best practices in order to confront the difficult choices that need to be made.

Abstract:

Today, economic activities at the company, local and national level are facing challenges and uncertainties for many reasons. This problem can become a serious obstacle for the planning and management of this category of activities and cause major concerns, especially for the Iranian society, which, in addition to the usual challenges, is also under sanctions. Therefore, in these conditions, the management of existing uncertainties and risks becomes very important; Because with the correct use of risk management frameworks and models, we can hope to overcome these conditions to a large extent. This research aims to investigate how to use risk management and its patterns, especially with emphasis on the PARTICIPATION of different STAKEHOLDERs such as shareholders, policy makers, managers, customers and other STAKEHOLDERs. The findings of the research with the method of logical analysis show that the PARTICIPATION of different STAKEHOLDERs and at the macro level the PARTICIPATION of people in the risk management process can facilitate the management of economic challenges, including achieving economic growth and overcoming high inflation rates.

Abstract:

The main purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between corporate STAKEHOLDER management and audit fees. In addition, the impact of management compensation and audit quality has been tested on this relationship. This article uses regression analysis to test its hypotheses to a sample of 1, 626 firms-year observations in the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) during 2011-2020. Results show a negative association between STAKEHOLDER management and audit fees. It can be concluded that effective STAKEHOLDER management reduces client risks. This finding is also consistent with agency theory that predicts agency problems lead to higher audit fees and vice versa. We also find that more management compensation and higher audit quality strengthen the negative association between STAKEHOLDER management and audit fees. Therefore, these variables can be considered important mechanisms to strengthen more effective STAKEHOLDER management. This study is the first study that empirically examines the association between STAKEHOLDER management and audit fees. Moreover, the moderating impact of management compensation and audit quality has been tested on the association between STAKEHOLDER management and audit fees. Finally, we use an interdisciplinary approach and use management literature to contribute to audit fee literature.
